• On the back of the CD case, Metallica says the following: "When we were asked to
  contribute a song to the Ramones tribute album, we began by jamming on our favorite
  songs, trying to figure out which one best fit the Metallica vibe. It ended up being between
  "53rd & 3rd" and "Commando". "53rd & 3rd" won out, but we're still proud of this one.
• This is the only song in which all 4 members of Metallica have vocal parts. You can tell
  when they're about to play it live because Lars gets set up with a microphone....
  and usually starts bragging about it :)
