• The song was inspired by the second half of the move "The Ten Commandments"
• Cliff Burton named the song. When watching the part of the movie where the green cloud
  kills Egypt's first born, he said "Whoa, it's like, Creeping Death!" and the band liked it and used it.
• The song was originally written by Kirk's old band Exodus, but only appeared as a demo;
  it was never released.
• Included in the video game Guitar Hero: Metallica and can be exported to GH: Warriors Of Rock.
• Was the most played song from 1984 until it was passed by Master Of Puppets in November 2009.
