  • The song is about the devil taking people to hell
  • The song was originally written by Dave Mustaine and the lyrics used to
be much different. When Dave was kicked out of the band and handed
his cross country bus ticket, James re-wrote the lyrics and part of the
music. Read the original lyrics on the right, you'll see why James felt
they needed to be rewritten :)
  • James reportedly hates this song, and presumably because of it's origins
with Mustaine. For years it was only rarely jammed on by Kirk, and
probably just to piss off James. They finally dusted it off
out of the blue and played it 3/23/2004 in Edmonton, Alberta. The
last play before that was in Paris, France on 11/18/1984 -
That's a gap of almost TWENTY YEARS!
  • When played live in 2004, James sang the lyrics in the style they
are heard on No Life Till Leather and in 1982 live shows, which
is different from how it is heard on Kill Em All and in 1983/1984
live shows. Don't worry, he still uses the new lyrics :)
