- On a song it indicates a song that was premiered.

- Indicates the first or last show for a band member.
|

GRAY
|
- On a tour date indicates missing information such as a cancelled show or missing venue name.
- On a particular song in a setlist it indicates a "non official" cover song played. Everywhere else it indicates information about the show not having to due with Metallica such as festival name.

BLUE
|
- Indicates information about the show more relevant to Metallica such as a MetClub Members Only show or a Secret Gig.
