The song was originally composed by Ennio Morricone for the film "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly"
Recording has been used as the intro music for Metallica's live shows since 1983. Nobody knows the exact
date of the first show that used it.
Prior to the release of the "We All Love Ennio Morricone" compilation album in which Metallica actually
performs their version of the song, it was only actually 'performed' 4 times - by the symphony before the show
